Vigneti Di Teo

Vigneti Di Teo owns vineyards in the village of Sava, located in the Salento region. The land around Sava is flat and fertile, stretching all the way to the beaches along the Ionian Sea. The soil is dry and calcareous with a high concentration of iron oxide, giving it a distinctive reddish-brown color. The cool breezes from the Ionian Sea help lower the temperature of the vineyards at night, allowing the Primitivo and Negroamaro grapes to reach their full potential. The result is rich, complex wines with excellent structure, minerality, and body.

The vines are planted using the traditional low-bush training method known locally as alberello. Many of the vines in Vigneti Di Teo’s vineyards, passed down from the founder’s grandfather, are over 70 years old. Though the yield is very low, the grapes produced are highly concentrated. All vineyard work is done by hand, with a strong emphasis on ecological sustainability. No irrigation or fertilization is used in managing the vineyards.
