Grauer Burgunder (skin fermented, unfiltered, orange)
¥8,420 (Inc Tax)
An Orange wine, this unconventional Pinot Gris shines like a freshly polished copper jug from which rises a fascinating scent of blood orange, rose hips and red wormwood. Cool hints of red pale ale, curry leaf and red pepper fuel the spice spectrum. On the palate minty coolness and granite from pink grapefruit. Despite all the aromatic density and power, it is emphatically light and airy, carefree, yes, almost weightless. A superb, playfully versatile food partner, from East meets West to experimental.
The Postolern is our highest vineyard, its soil consists of paragneiss and amphibolites. Here, near the edge of the forest, Frühroter and Grüner Veltliner, Pinot Gris and Zweigelt thrive.
