St. Laurent Ausstich, Limited Edition

A cheerful, garnet colored red wine, it matured in large oak barrels to arrive at a graceful elegance and firm structure built on layers of luscious fruit notes featuring ripe cherry and red currants. A harmonious play between warm berries and soft tannins.

St. Laurent, a cousin of Pinot Noir, was introduced to Austria during the Napoleonic Wars in the early 19th century and found a cozy home in the deep-reaching alluvial soils of the Thermenregion, an applelation just a few km south of Vienna. Viticulture dates back to Roman times more than 2000 years.
The term Ausstich signals a special barrel selection: only the best of a vintage!
