A specialty grape that finds an ideal home on the steep slopes of South Styria. Aromatic nose, floral scents of meadow flowers, roses and elderflowers. Very fruity on the palate and yet dry with delicate, lively acid structure. A tasty starter wine that makes your mouth water.

Gruener Veltliner may be considered the national wine of Austria. It is grown in more than one third of the country’s vineyards. The quality potential of Veltliner wines encompasses anything from simple, light wines for any occasion to powerful, complex, top wines. Bright yellow with a touch of green characterises this Veltliner. Its spicy quality can already be detected on the nose. On the palate the wine represents a great harmony between spicyness and fruity elegance and impresses with a long, lasting finish It is a classic Austrian wine with lots of charisma.
I may add that with the trend toward light, low-calorie, low-fat, even vegetarian foods, a wine like this is the perfect match for our ‘modern’ eating habits.

Ruby red with aromas of dark berries and wild cherries. Full and spicy with hints of kompott and cinnamon, soft and well structured with velvety tannins. Lively acidity is vital to Zweigelt. Medium body with a fine, lingering finish.
